Aggressive woman assaults store patrons in LPI-G incident
In an unusual incident that unfolded on a Friday evening, a 37-year-old woman known to the police was taken into custody following an outburst at the Schmölln Netto in Bergstraße, Altenburg.
The incident began in the car park around 19:17 when the woman engaged in an argument with another customer. The disagreement escalated, leading to the woman striking the other woman and fleeing into the store.
Once inside, the woman continued her erratic behaviour, behaving aggressively towards store staff and helping herself to food from the shelves, which she proceeded to eat. When the arriving police officers attempted to intervene, the woman refused to cooperate and assaulted them during her removal from the store.
Due to her aggressive and violent behaviour, the woman was forcibly removed and taken into custody by emergency services. Following her arrest, she was sent for a psychological evaluation.
