In a significant development, Hamburg police have arrested a notorious pedophile and internet sadist, known as "White Tiger." The 20-year-old German-Iranian suspect is accused of multiple heinous crimes, including murder, attempted murder, dangerous bodily injury, partly severe sexual abuse of children, and possession of child pornographic files.

The arrest came after a tip from the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in 2021. The tip was passed on to the Hamburg LKA by the Bundeskriminalamt. The investigation revealed that the suspect was the head of a group of cybercriminals who forced eight children aged 11 to 15 to commit violence against themselves on the internet.

The children involved in the case are from Germany, England, Canada, and the US, according to investigating authorities. The suspect admitted to having chats with underage users on the Discord platform containing pornographic content. In one of these chats, there were requests for self-harming actions and the encouragement of suicidal thoughts.

Interestingly, the public prosecutor's office confirmed that the suspect was already named as a member of the sadistic internet group 764 in the NCMEC report in 2017. However, the investigation into "White Tiger" was initially discontinued in 2017 due to "slightness." It's possible that the case might not be well-documented or might not have occurred under that name.

The investigation against the suspect was reopened in 2021 when his son confessed to the crime after legal advice and was interrogated again. The suspect is currently in investigative custody in a juvenile detention center in Lower Saxony.

It's important to note that investigations into child abuse or pedophile cases can be complex and sensitive. Discontinuation might occur due to various reasons, such as lack of evidence, procedural issues, or the perceived severity of the charges. In some jurisdictions, the concept of "slightness" might relate to the severity of the crime or the evidence available. However, without specific details about the case, it's difficult to provide a precise explanation.

If the case moves forward, it would likely involve legal proceedings, such as a trial, where the evidence and confession would be presented. The Hamburg prosecutor's office has not provided information on the current status of the network founder. The arrest of "White Tiger" serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat online child exploitation and the importance of international cooperation in such cases.

  1. The community policy should emphasize the importance of reporting suspicious online activities, as the arrest of "White Tiger" was prompted by a tip from the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
  2. In light of the 'White Tiger' case, it's crucial for employers to have a robust employment policy that prohibits the possession, access, or distribution of child pornographic content, as the suspect was found to have interacted with underage users on the Discord platform.
  3. The arrest of "White Tiger" underscores the need for comprehensive health-and-wellness, mental-health, sexual-health, general-news, and crime-and-justice initiatives that target online predators, as these cases can have profound and lasting effects on the mental health and well-being of the victims.
