Band member experiences serious health issue forces The Jesus Lizard to cancel upcoming performances

The alternative rock band The Jesus Lizard has announced the cancellation of their scheduled shows in October and November 2025, citing a serious health incident affecting one of the band members. This decision was made on medical advice as a necessary precaution.

The band's 2025 tour, planned to support their latest album Rack and the Flux EP, included shows in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and the United States. The tour was scheduled to start in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 11, 2025, and was set to continue until a year from that date, visiting Collingwood, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Tokyo, Nashville, Chicago, and Minneapolis in the US.

The affected member's prognosis is excellent, but unfortunately, there are no plans to reschedule these canceled shows. Refunds for the cancelled shows will be available at the point of purchase.

The Jesus Lizard, known for their raw and energetic sound, released their first album in 26 years, titled Rack, last year. The band expressed apologies to fans and gratitude for their understanding and support.

David Yow, the band's vocalist, had previously stated that there were no scheduled shows between the current date and a year from then. Regarding the band's future plans beyond the tour, Yow expressed hope that if the band finished the tour and all four members were still alive, they could continue their plans after the tour. However, the band's future plans beyond the canceled tour remain uncertain.
