Central Emergency Room at Knappschaft Kliniken Bottrop Expands with New Medical Department

Starting July 1, 2025, Daniela Diesing steps into her new role as the medical director of the central emergency room at the Knappschaft clinics in Bottrop. She replaces Wolf in this leadership position, receiving wishes of good fortune and success from CEO Stefan Grave.

Central Emergency Room at Knappschaft Kliniken Bottrop Expands with New Medical Department

The Knappschaft Clinics Bottrop is currently undergoing extensive renovation work in its Central Emergency Department. This renovation comes alongside a significant change in leadership, as Daniela Diesing takes over as the new Medical Director.

Daniela Diesing, a versatile specialist with expertise in anesthesia, spine surgery, and neurosurgery, has returned to the Knappschaft Clinics Bottrop after several years of honing her skills in various clinics. She first joined the Bottrop Knappschaft Clinics in 2012, completing her surgical specialty training here. Since then, she has been actively involved in the Central Emergency Department.

Prior to her appointment as Medical Director, Diesing held the position of senior physician for surgery at the Knappschaft Clinics Bottrop. Her dedication and commitment to the clinic were recognised, and she was appointed as the Medical Director as of July 1, 2025.

In her new role, Diesing aims to foster more interdisciplinary collaboration in the emergency department, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. She also prioritises the expansion of neurosurgery within the department.

The Central Emergency Department is set to be equipped with ten treatment rooms, one triage room, and two shock rooms, providing state-of-the-art facilities for patients. The renovation of the reception and waiting area is planned for the long term.

CEO Stefan Grave values Diesing as an experienced and committed employee, expressing his pleasure at having her for the responsible task of the Central Emergency Department. The Knappschaft Clinics Bottrop management is confident that Diesing will provide excellent medical care and drive the department forward.
