Neighbors' Fury: Home Tutor's Obscene Messages (12) Lead to Conviction

Court Judgment on Teacher's Aide's Case

In a shocking turn of events, Andreas E. (64) has been found guilty of sending inappropriate messages to a then 12-year-old girl residing in his vicinity.

By Steffi Suhr

Pirna - Until now, Andreas E. was known as a friendly neighbor. But his actions have left the local community reeling: He violated the trust and boundaries by sending obscene messages and images to an underage girl. The court in Pirna has handed down a verdict against him.

Andreas had once enjoyed a friendly relationship with the family and offered assistance as an occasional tutor during the girl's homeschooling amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this allegiance took a sinister turn when he sent a lewd remark and an obscene image to the child.

Upon learning the disturbing truth, the mother immediately sought legal recourse. The court imposed a restraining order on Andreas. In defiance of the imposed order, Andreas continued to send numerousmessages to the girl with suggestions of future encounters and promises of continued contact.

Only when facing a fine of 200 euros did the harassment cease. However, the consequence of his unlawful actions was a criminal trial.

"My client expresses deep remorse for his actions," stated Andreas's lawyer. "He has since distanced himself from the family and hopes to relocate. But the process of moving away proves challenging."

Nine Months Suspended for Andreas

The lawyer for the victim reported that the girl continues to struggle with the events. The family is also seeking a new residence. Andreas was sentenced to nine months in prison, with the sentence being suspended on probation due to the age of the crimes (over two years) and the absence of a prior criminal record. The restraining order remains in effect, and he is obligated to pay 500 euros to the organization "Girls' Refuge Dresden."
