Decline in Coronavirus Cases Observed
As of April 12, 2020, the Rhein-Kreis Neuss has reported a total of 522 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The numbers have been steadily increasing over the past few days.
On April 10, there were 155 cases, with 51 in Neuss, 11 in Korschenbroich, 19 in Meerbusch, 21 in Dormagen, and 5 in Rommerskirchen. By April 12, the numbers in Neuss, Dormagen, and Rommerskirchen remained the same, while Korschenbroich saw a slight decrease to 11 cases. Meerbusch reported 19 cases, and Kaarst saw an increase to 21 cases. Grevenbroich reported 16 cases, up from 15 on April 10, and Jüchen reported 12 cases, up from 11.
Sadly, the district has also seen nine COVID-19-related deaths. The latest death was reported on Easter Monday, a 79-year-old woman, bringing the total number of deaths to eleven. Details about the identities of the nine deceased individuals are not publicly available.
On Easter Monday, there were 133 cases, marking a significant increase from the previous day. However, it is encouraging to note that 2,462 people have been released from quarantine after completing the 14-day incubation period with no symptoms.
