The session delves into the historical context of atheists and freethinkers' interest in vegetarianism, drawing particular attention to figures like Percy Bysshe Shelley, G.W. Foote, and Henry S. Salt.
Nathan G. Alexander, a lecturer in history at the University of Ottawa, serves as the speaker for this intriguing discussion. Alexander is the author of "Race in a Godless World: Atheism, Race, and Civilization, 1850-1914" and co-host of the Beyond Atheism podcast. He holds a PhD in modern history from the University of St Andrews.
