Enhanced Women's Health offerings for Oura ring unveiled - key details revealed
The Oura Ring, already renowned as one of the best smart rings on the market, is set to take a significant leap forward with the introduction of new features for pregnancy and perimenopause tracking. These updates will be available from mid-August 2025, rolling out simultaneously on both iOS and Android platforms for both Oura Ring Gen 3 and Oura Ring 4 users.
Pregnancy Features
The Oura app will now provide trimester-specific visuals and weekly guidance tailored to each pregnancy stage. The Readiness, Sleep, and Activity scores will be adjusted to reflect normal physiological changes in pregnancy, such as higher resting heart rate and fluctuating temperature.
Users can tag over 35 pregnancy-related symptoms and see correlations with biometric data. The Oura AI Advisor will customize recommendations like rest, hydration, and activity goals to pregnancy needs. Continuous tracking of temperature trends, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate will be contextualized with data from over 10,000 pregnancies for trimester-specific comparison.
Moreover, the app will offer Pregnancy-Aware Cycle Insights, providing historical and current reproductive health data that help users track changes before, during, and after pregnancy.
Perimenopause Features
The new perimenopause check-in feature uses the clinically validated Menopause Rating Scale combined with biometric and cycle data to generate detailed reports that users can share with their clinicians. This feature helps monitor symptoms like mood changes, hot flashes, and sleep disturbances for better clinical conversations.
Educational content and user stories are included to help users understand and navigate perimenopause. The Oura app will also provide perimenopause-related cycle and symptom insights within the app.
Availability
These features were announced in early to mid-August 2025 and are expected to be rolled out with app updates the same week. Members will begin by completing a 12-question Menopause Rating Survey, and the PDF can easily be shared with a healthcare professional.
The Oura ring will allow users to add pregnancy-related tags to keep track of their symptoms. The ring will highlight four key insights related to pregnancy - temperature trends, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and respiratory rate. Once they've completed the survey, they'll receive a downloadable PDF which includes their symptoms, biometric trends, and cycle data.
The Oura ring will provide week-by-week pregnancy insights. There are 35 new tags available to capture the highs and lows of pregnancy. Oura's new perimenopause check-in feature allows women to track symptoms and understand their impact.
With these new features, the Oura ring is set to become a powerful tool in women's health tech, going beyond typical sleep and readiness tracking to offer personalized, science-backed insights for pregnancy and perimenopause. These features support real-time context between clinical visits and empower informed health management for pregnant and perimenopausal users.
