Scoop: Shocking Allegations Against a High-Ranking Police Officer

Female high-ranking police official under accusation for dealing in sedative narcotics unsuccessfully seeks temporary release pending trial.

In an unexpected turn of events, a police colonel, known as Mor Air, has been accused of trafficking sedative drugs for illegal distribution. The police officer, who works at the Police General Hospital, was taken into custody and detained without bail, her lawyer announced on Wednesday.

The arrest took place at a condominium in the heart of Bangkok's Ratchadamri area, following reports of the illicit sale of sedative drugs to young customers. Mor Air stands accused of trafficking these drugs, a grave offense that carries severe penalties.

In discussions with the police at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) in Bangkok's Lak Si district, Mor Air's lawyer, Nitisak Meekuad, confirmed that she had waived her right to bail at this stage. The suspect faces multiple charges, mainly for possession of controlled substances under categories 2 and 4, which can only be prescribed by licensed medical professionals.

A room at a police flat in Phaya Thai district, believed to be used for the illegal distribution, has been traced back to Mor Air. The doctor has reportedly provided a statement to the investigators detailing her prescription practices, but the specifics of the drugs ordered remain undisclosed.

Nitisak shed light on the fact that the suspect had ordered sedative drugs as part of her professional duties to prescribe medication to patients. However, the extent of drug procurement is still under investigation, as more evidence is being gathered to support the case.

"I have spoken to the doctor, acting in my capacity as her lawyer. The suspect has the right to consult with a lawyer, and I can provide initial legal advice as required by law," Nitisak stated.

Apart from these charges, there have been reports of fraudulent procurement of sedative drugs using the names of more than 300 deceased individuals, but Nitisak did not comment on these allegations.
