The 73 individuals who benefited from personalized combination therapies received a variety of treatments such as gene product-targeted drugs, hormone therapies, immunotherapies, and chemotherapies.

According to one of the study's lead authors, Dr. Shumei Kato, “The percentage of patients matched was much higher than in most precision medicine studies due to the implementation of a team who immediately reviewed genomic results and navigators who assisted patients and physicians in accessing clinical trials and off-label Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs.”
