NIPHM Announces Walk-in-Interview for Plant Health Management Division Positions

The National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, is conducting a Walk-in-Interview for temporary and contractual positions in the Plant Health Management Division. The interview will take place at the NIPHM in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad - 500030 on 18 August 2025, at 9:00 AM.

Job Openings

There are two vacancies available: one for the post of Project Associate (Bio Input Production) and one for the post of Project Assistant (Bio Input Production).

Project Associate (Bio Input Production)

The ideal candidate for this position should hold a M.Sc. in Agriculture/Horticulture or M.Sc. with specialization in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Plant Pathology. The responsibilities include production and formulation of bio-pesticides/fertilizers, isolation, culturing, and efficacy testing of beneficial microbes, conducting lab and field trials for bio-inputs, assisting in quality testing, training programs, and field activities, and maintaining and preserving microbial cultures. The emolument for this position is Rs. 30,000/-.

Project Assistant (Bio Input Production)

The eligible candidate for this position should have a 12th pass or a Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture. The responsibilities include handling bulk production, packing, and labeling of bio-inputs, arranging materials for training demonstrations, supporting production, transport, and storage activities, and assisting in laboratory preparations and maintenance. The emolument for this position is Rs. 15,000/-.

Eligibility and Selection

Candidates must reside within a 3 km radius of NIPHM after selection. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Age limits for men applying for these positions are 30 years, and for women, it is 35 years. Age and qualifications may be relaxed in exceptional cases.

Candidates are required to bring original and self-attested copies of educational certificates, experience letters, testimonials, research/training certificates, and a recent passport-size photograph to the interview. Certificate verification will begin at 9:00 AM sharp during the interview.

Engagement may be terminated with one month's notice by either side. The initial engagement for these positions will be for six months or till the project period, whichever is earlier.

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The salaries for similar Project Associate positions under related Indian agricultural research institutes range from Rs. 42,000 + HRA per month for candidates fulfilling essential qualifications and eligibility criteria to Rs. 33,000 + HRA per month for candidates not meeting the national eligibility tests criteria. For Project Associate and similar positions in other institutes, the salary ranges between ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 per month plus HRA, depending on qualifications and experience.
