Kamchatka Bolsters Hepatitis B & C Response with Specialized Care & Hotline

The Kamchatka region has bolstered its response to viral hepatitis B and C. The Kamchatka Regional Center for AIDS and Infectious Disease Prevention and Control has ensured a sufficient supply of medications. Patients can now access specialized care at the Kamchatka Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The treatment process involves initial care at the infectious disease hospital, followed by transfer to primary care for ongoing clinical and laboratory monitoring. A dedicated hotline, 8-800-141-0000, has been established for citizens seeking information on hepatitis C and B.

Modern antiviral therapy for hepatitis C has proven highly effective, eliminating the virus in 99% of cases. Positive analysis results grant priority consultations at the hepatological center. If prescribed, antiviral therapy is followed by molecular-biological analysis to assess its effectiveness. The Kamchatka Regional Oncological Dispensary's AIDS Center offers consultations under the 'green corridor' principle.

The Kamchatka region has taken significant steps to combat viral hepatitis B and C. With adequate medication supply, specialized care, and efficient treatment processes, the region is well-equipped to tackle these diseases. The dedicated hotline, priority consultations, and thorough treatment assessments ensure comprehensive care for affected individuals.
