Ledge Pillow for Breast Augmentation Discontinues Despite Positive Feedback

The Ledge Pillow, a specialized foam pillow designed for women with breast augmentation or naturally large breasts to sleep comfortably on their stomachs, has faced challenges despite its unique purpose. The product, pitched by Amanda Schlechter on Shark Tank, is no longer in production, with its official website now defunct.

Amanda developed the Ledge Pillow specifically for stomach sleepers with sensitive breasts, aiming to fill a gap in the back market. She had been selling it for three years before her Shark Tank appearance, where she sought $30K in exchange for a 25 percent ownership in her company. Despite positive customer feedback, the company was not successful.

The Ledge Pillow, also known as the 'boob pillow', can also assist nursing women and patients recovering from breast surgery who prefer to sleep on their stomachs. However, it may not be recommended for back sleepers due to potential back problems associated with stomach sleeping. Alternatives to the Ledge Pillow include outdoor body pillows, lounger pillows, wedge pillows, and specialty headboard pillows from various retailers like Toseky, Costco, Pottery Barn Teen, Wayfair, Etsy, and Walmart. Other specialized products like the Pink Kush Support and the Bosom Buddy are also available.

The Ledge Pillow, despite its innovative design, did not secure investment from the Sharks. Lori Greinke advised Amanda to change the name, while Mark Cuban commented that Amanda didn't seem passionate enough about the product. The Ledge Pillow company is no longer in business, leaving a gap in the back market for women seeking comfortable sleeping solutions tailored to their needs.
