8th Lions & Friends-Cup Golf Tournament Supports Fight Against Childhood Dementia

The Lions Club Lübeck Bucht recently hosted the 8th edition of their annual golf tournament, the Lions & Friends-Cup, on July 19th. The event took place at the South Course of the Golf Resort Strandgreen, attracting over 60 golfers who came together to support the NCL Foundation in its mission to research and fight childhood dementia.

The tournament was a day filled with friendly competition, as golfers vied for top spots. The winning team, whose scores were recorded, triumphed with an impressive performance. The Putt Competition, held before the main event, also saw a winner emerge, although their name was not disclosed.

In a heartwarming gesture, the winners of the tournament and the lucky raffle winners received hotel vouchers donated by the SANDcollection and the Hamacher Hotel Group. The raffle, hosted by Birgit Saatrübe-Möllers from the NCL Foundation, added an extra layer of excitement to the day.

In addition to the golfing action, numerous volunteers from the Lions Club ensured refreshments were available throughout the tournament. The event was a resounding success, with the Lions Club Lübeck Bucht already looking forward to the next tournament in 2026.

For those interested, a list of sponsors can be found on the Lions Club Lübeck Bucht's homepage at www.lionsclub-luebeckerbucht.de.

It's worth noting that while direct information about the 8th Lions & Friends-Cup was scarce, the 2nd Annual Lion’s Cup Golf Tournament and Country Concert was held at Arrowhead Golf Club in 2025. This event, held in Denver, raised funds to expand mobile food markets in Title I schools, supporting families in need.

Unfortunately, no direct references to a tournament named exactly "Lions & Friends-Cup" were available. However, the spirit of camaraderie, support, and fundraising for a worthy cause was evident in both events.
