Man, 40, Arrested at Ludwigshafen Gas Station After Amphetamine-Fueled Disturbance

A 40-year-old man was apprehended at a Ludwigshafen gas station on April 14, 2025, after causing a disturbance and being found in possession of amphetamine. The incident, which occurred at 23:50, led to his restraint by police and subsequent transfer to a hospital.

An employee at a gas station in Heinigstraße alerted the police about the man's erratic behaviour, with reports of him running around and screaming. Federal police arrived to find the man in a psychological crisis, resisting attempts to calm him down and search for identification. During his restraint, the man sustained minor injuries after banging his head on the ground. A search of his person revealed amphetamine in his pocket, with a total of approximately 20 grams seized, along with three grams of amphetamine and eight testosterone ampoules found on him.

The man was also reported to have harassed travelers and mishandled glass bottles, leading to their breakage during the incident.

Following the incident, the 40-year-old man was handed over to the municipal enforcement service for transport to a hospital. The police seized the illicit substances, and the man was reported for his actions. The gas station employee's prompt notification of the police ensured the situation was handled promptly and safely.
