Queen Anne Resurfaces at Trooping the Colour 2025 Event

Fresh Take:

Princess Anne, displays sheer grit, as she gallops back into the public eye at the Trooping the Colour parade. After a hard fall last year at her Gatcombe Park home, Anne makes a triumphant re-entry to equestrian events.

Draped in the Full Mounted Ceremonial uniform of the Blues and Royals, Princess Royal serves as the Colonel for the parade. The ceremony is a grand affair, with Anne wielding the Gold Stick, and sharing the role with the Colonel of The Life Guards. To top it off, she adorns herself with aiguilettes, symbolizing her position as a Personal Aide-de-Camp to her brother, King Charles.

The horse riding display at the parade was indeed a memorable one, marking a significant milestone for Princess Anne. Since her accident in 2024, Anne was forced to withdraw from public engagements like the Japanese State Visit and a trip to Canada. However, her recovery proved swifter than expected, as after only three weeks, she resumed local public duties, even while still sporting a black eye from the incident.

A horse-related accident at Gatcombe Park left Anne with a mild concussion and minor head injuries[2][4][5]. Initially, she couldn't recall a thing from the event[2][4][5], but her resilience carried her through. In June 2025, she stunned everyone with her comeback as she rode majestically during the Trooping the Colour parade, continuing her commitment to royal traditions and public service.
