Stepping into a new era, Almaty sees the opening of the "Zhylu Uya" rehabilitation center for the disabled. This four-story monument, constructed at a cost of 355 million tenge, is a beacon of hope for the visually impaired and those with disabilities.

Hidden within its walls, you'll find psychologist and lawyer offices, a printing shop, and state-of-the-art computing facilities tailored for individuals with disabilities. With a staff of 10, notably 6 employees hailing from the community they serve, the center's primary mission revolves around employment and adaptation for the visually impaired.

As the Kazakh Society of the Blind boasts over 23,000 members nationwide, the center's aim is to empower and arm visually impaired individuals with the necessary resources to thrive.
