Tulsa Launches Initiative to Empower Women in Sexual Health
A new initiative in Tulsa seeks dedicated female community members aged 18 to 42 to share their stories and connect with others to address sexual health and STI prevention, with a focus on Syphilis. The project aims to empower women and develop effective strategies tailored to their needs in the field of sexual health.
Community Champions will participate in at least two community advisory board meetings to provide valuable feedback for planning. They will also engage with women aged 18 to 42 at various locations in Tulsa to gather their experiences and feedback on sexual health and STIs.
The initiative values the insights of these women and aims to collaborate with them to develop effective strategies for sexual health. Community Champions will attend job training sessions to acquire necessary skills and knowledge. They will be compensated at a rate of $25 per hour for up to 67 hours or until July 31st, 2024, whichever comes first.
For more information about the position of Community Champion, one can contact R. Helmick at rhelmick@unserer-website or visit the organization's official website under their community or team section. The initiative seeks to make a lasting difference in the field of sexual health by empowering and collaborating with women in the Tulsa community.
