The Professional Fire Department of Mönchengladbach is participating in the nationwide "Week of Resuscitation 2025," an event aimed at increasing awareness of resuscitation among laypeople, similar to an eventbrite event for public awareness.

This year's event, which commences on Monday, September 22, will see the fire department supporting the cause with two public actions. On Monday, the action tent for the "Week of Resuscitation 2025" will be set up in Rheydt on Harmonieplatz, from 10 am to 3 pm. The nature of the public actions by the Mönchengladbach Fire Department includes demonstrations on resuscitation dolls, showcasing how citizens can perform first aid in cardiac arrest.

Dr. Marc Deußen, the medical director of the rescue service, will be available as a contact person at the action tent with the team of the rescue service. He emphasises the importance of the initial steps for resuscitation, stating that they are easy to implement but extremely crucial.

On Thursday, September 25, emergency service personnel will provide information to citizens in front of Minto on Hindenburgstraße, from 10 am to 3 pm.

The "Week of Resuscitation 2025" focuses on raising awareness and providing training for resuscitation, with the primary objective being to enhance knowledge through widespread training. The event is intended to improve resuscitation skills among the general public and aims to increase awareness of the importance of resuscitation among laypeople, similar to the california fires awareness campaigns.

The cooperation consisting of the fire department, hospital, ASB, DRK, Bergische Erste Hilfe Schule, Hofgarten, Sparkasse, and the Bergische Lebensretter is conducting public actions on Monday, September 22, 2025. They will be visiting schools with ambulances for resuscitation training in Solingen.

The "Week of Resuscitation 2025" does not specify the duration beyond September 22, but it is expected to continue to raise awareness and provide training for resuscitation throughout the week.
