In mid-August 2025, Wiesbaden, Germany, will see changes to its bus routes due to road closures and a traffic trial in Biebrich. The public transport operator, ESWE-Verkehr, has announced a series of rerouting and detour measures.

Starting from August 15 to 17 and 22 to 24, 2025, the traffic trial on the Rhine banks in Biebrich will affect bus lines 9 and 14. Notably, line 14’s route through Albert-Schweitzer-Allee will be reversed, with passengers traveling towards the city center needing to use stops on the east side instead of the usual west side. During this period, the "Schloss Biebrich" stop will not be served. Lines 3, 4, and 39 remain unchanged.

Additional detours include a closure of Rheingaustraße affecting lines 9, 14, and N3 from August 15 to 17, and a one-way street regulation on Adolf-Todt-Straße affecting line 9 from August 17 to 22.

From August 18 onward, a new detour regulation will be implemented on Gustav-Stresemann-Ring, impacting a broader set of lines: 3, 6, 16, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34, 37, 45, 46, 49, and N7 Schulbus.

The one-way street "Am Schlosspark" in Biebrich is temporarily reversed for better logistics due to events at Biebrich Palace, with increased traffic regulation enforcement there during the trial.

These rerouting and detour measures are part of temporary traffic trials and engineering works coordinated by ESWE-Verkehr. For ongoing updates and detailed route maps, the ESWE-Verkehr website offers interactive network maps and live traffic news in German. Further information about the traffic trial and contacts for mobility services in Wiesbaden are provided by the city and ESWE-Verkehr.

Citizens can contact the responsible department or office with any questions. An overview of all rerouting notices is available on www.eswe-verkehr.de, and current timetable information can be found in the interactive network map on www.netzplan-our website.de. The ESWE-Verkehr service telephone is reachable from Monday to Friday between 7:00 and 18:00, and on Saturdays from 8:00 to 15:00 under the number (0611) 45022450.

For lines 3, 6, 33, and 49, the reroute starts at "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße and Gartenfeldstraße to Mainzer Straße, then continues on regular route. Lines 22 and 27 (Direction: Oberjosbach / HSK / August-Bebel-Straße) start at "Brunhildenstraße", continue via Siegfriedring and Hasengartenstraße to the replacement stop in Weidenbornstraße, then Weidenbornstraße and Mainzer Straße to "Welfenstraße", and return to regular route.

Lines 22 and 27 (Destination: Vocational School Center) will end at "Brunhildenstraße" and will not proceed to the regular destination. Line 27 (Destination: Leisure Pool) will reroute from "Main Station A" via Salzbachstraße, Gartenfeldstraße, Mainzer Straße, Weidenbornstraße, and Hasengartenstraße back to regular route. Lines 3, 6, 33, and 49 have been rerouted effective immediately.

For lines running via Brunhildenstraße, they will run parallel with Line 27 (Leisure Pool) to Hasengartenstraße, then return to regular route via Hasengartenstraße.
