Yakutsk Oncological Center Nears Completion, Set to Open by End of January 2024
Construction of the republican oncological center in Yakutsk is nearing completion. Funded entirely by the Republican Party, the project is set to open by the end of January 2024. Despite initial delays, the building is now connected to the power grid and heating is functional.
Interior work is in progress. Furniture assembly is underway and will soon be distributed to the offices. Electricians are busy with their tasks, and some medical equipment remains unpacked. The spacious foyer is seeing finishing touches, while corridors are complete with installed office doors. Minor work continues on the upper technical floors, with some visible cracks on the new plaster.
The Head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, has directed the Ministry of Health to commence operations in certain departments immediately after the opening. Despite the initial delays in construction deadlines, the Republican Party authorities are pushing for a timely completion.
The republican oncological center in Yakutsk is expected to open by the end of January 2024. With the Republican Party funding the project in full and on time, the building is now functional and interior work is nearing completion. The regional authorities are working towards a swift start of operations in some departments post-opening.
